Hi Friends,
As I always ask, How are you going?
Are you exhausted? Are you excited about the Festive period or dreading it?
This week let's cover the last domain of the '5 Domains of Health'.
Our SPIRITUAL HEALTH!
1. The holiday break could be the ideal time to rest and recharge. To get calm, then get clear. Clear about what you really want and don’t want in your life, for your life!!
2. Use this time to find some quiet time. No distractions, no artificial stimulus that has been bombarding you every day and all year and listen.
Listen to your inner guidance system that is always there for you and me.
Being in nature helps provide the environment for this. It’s there all year. What’s left of it. The beach? The mountains? The park? Your choice.
You may have been paying so much attention to what’s going around you, that you may have neglected what’s going on inside of you, for you!!
2a) Sit and practice tuning into the sounds and colours of nature. Feel the sun or breeze on your skin. Let your internal chatter/ noise slows down and hopefully stop for a few seconds in between thinking.
2b) Drop down and out of your head, to feel your heart. Putting your hands on it, taking a few deep breaths and feel the love coming in or out.
2c) Now listen to your gut. It is always the truth/the way. I tap on my heart 3 times and then ask, what do I need to know for my life right now. Every time, the answer comes literally before I have finished asking!!
Don’t think, listen. For me its words, others sense, some hear, others see.
Now that you have received some inner guidance on what you should or should not be doing. You will need a game plan, otherwise nothing will change..
NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS !! Most never work because people do not have a success plan..
If you are serious, write them down and have someone hold you accountable to them, a Coach!!
But first ask yourself WHY, a really big why do I want this, need this, or change this…..?
The HOW will come.
Then set S.M.A.R.T Goals to enhance your success of achieving this change. Be-
Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Realistic
Timely
Hope this makes a difference for you this holiday season.
With love Derek
